The Route
The 100km ride starts at the Village Hall in Bishop Monkton, just outside Ripon.
PLEASE NOTE: There is no parking at the village hall – If arriving in a vehicle, please go straight to the parking field which is about 0.5 miles east, on the Boroughbridge Road, just opposite Lawnfield Road. (For your satnav: Lat 45.095206, Lon -1.491655 ; note the minus sign).
After parking, cycle back to the Village Hall to check in!
Please do not park in the village itself.
From the start at the Village Hall, the route heads east through Roecliffe and Boroughbridge before crossing the River Swale and heading south to Brafferton & Helperby. You will then head east through Raskelf, Easingwold, Stillington, Marton-in-the-Forest and Stearsby before reaching the furthest point at Sheriff Hutton for the lunch stop.
You will then turn south west before turning right towards Sutton-on-the-Forest, Huby and over the A19 at Cross Lanes towards Tollerton where you will then head south towards Newton-on-Ouse.
You will then head west again, crossing the River Ure via the Aldwalk Bridge (free for Cyclists!).
The home run will take in Great Ouseburn, Marton Cum Grafton, over the A1 to Arkendale, Ferrensby, Farnham and Copgrove before finishing back at the Village Hall in Bishop Monkton.
